Over 148 years, we've grown into one of Africa's largest and most successful banking groups. With headquarters in Johannesburg and a presence all over the world, we're continuing to play a central role in the South African financial sector, in what is today a successful developing economy.
By recognising the evolving needs of customers in this market place and developing relevant services, we've continuously developed our business and extended our presence in emerging markets in Africa and globally.
We now have over 6,500 points of representation, including branches and offices in Africa and employ more than 50,000 people worldwide, of which over 34,000 are in South Africa.
Our three main business areas are Personal and Business Banking (PBB), Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), and Wealth. In all of these areas, we encourage our people to think for themselves, be creative and, above all, understand their customers and the markets they're working in so they can deliver groundbreaking solutions. Our graduate programmes are currently available in both PBB and CIB, as well as in some core group support teams.
